Especially with 1080p60 + Dolby digital AC-3 files. Which version of Power Director? I always had garbage at random times in my output with it as well as with VideoReDo. It adds a huge assortment of filters, color and brightness controls, multi-layered effects, and a lot of authoring features which Smart Render lacks. Prior to the release of TMPGE Smart Render 4, their most recent version, Pegasys / TMPGE Express 4 also handled AVCHD very well, but did not have the additional 'smart render' feature.įor my money, I would say the Cycberlink Power Director package is vastly more capable and has smart rendering, although the frame level editing is not as nice as the new Smart Render 4 software. My two favorites for editing / trimming AVCHD content are VideoReDo and Cyberlink Power Director, both of which offer smart rendering and frame level editing. I started with AVCHD when it came out 5+ years ago, and have built a collection of AVCHD editing tools since then. It might sound like it is though! Seriously, it rocks. I just re-read this - this isn't spam by the way.
